- Asynchronous collaboration skills and reliable time-management for a minimum 20 hrs/week commitment.
Responsibilities
- Build detailed financial models from scratch that reflect real on-desk deal work (M&A, LBO, valuations, projections).
- Deliver high-quality model outputs asynchronously and meet agreed timelines while committing at least 20 hours/week.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and key sensitivities clearly within each model.
- Participate in a brief behavioral interview and a short technical assessment during vetting.
- Log hours accurately each week for Stripe Connect weekly payouts and communicate progress to Mercor as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferred but not mandatory if on-desk experience is met.
- Academic-only experience (internships or coursework without on-desk deal execution) will not satisfy the experience requirement.
- Relevant professional training or certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
