Renesas is looking for a Senior ESD and Latch-up Engineer to join the Failure Analysis Team at our Palm Bay, Florida campus to help establish an ESD and Latch-up characterization group. We are seeking an enthusiastic, initiative-taking, fast-learning individual who will focus on characterizing and reporting on a variety of semiconductor products.
Develop plans and perform ESD and Latch-up characterization for new products,
Develop HBM, CDM, and Latch-up test programs in accordance with JEDEC and AEC ESD and Latch-up standards.
Design and build ESD and Latch-up test fixtures which would include test boards and sockets.
Provide test status and updates to internal team members on a regular basis.
Debug failing pins and work with the Failure Analysis and Design Teams to identify the cause and drive improvements.
Update and maintain the ESD and Latch-up submission policies and procedures.
5 years’ experience in semiconductor device failure analysis and/or equivalent
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
Experience with ESD and Latch up testing.
Experience with board design and layout tools, Cadence and Allegro preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
An understanding of Semiconductor fabrication and packaging.
Strong understanding of diodes and transistors work.
A knowledge of JEDEC and AEC ESD and Latch up standards
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and layouts.
Must be an initiative-taking team player who is able to take direction, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively.
US citizen or a green card is required.
