Senior Software Engineer, Industrial Control
Skills
- 7+ years building high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines or streaming services in Go or similar languages.
- Designing and operating ingestion services with backpressure and multi-consumer fan-out.
- Building or integrating real-time delivery mechanisms such as WebSockets or streaming APIs for live UIs.
- Experience developing monitoring/alerting systems with low-latency detection and reliable delivery.
- Familiarity with durable queuing/spool-to-disk patterns and time-series/metrics storage systems (nice-to-have).
- Experience benchmarking and load testing streaming systems to understand performance envelopes.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end across architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Design, build, and maintain real-time platform services: data pipelines, orchestration, UIs, alerting, and automation tooling.
- Implement and operate device-level software and integrations for controllers and hardware equipment.
- Ingest telemetry from many producers, apply backpressure, and fan out data to multiple consumers in real time.
- Partner with hardware, test, manufacturing, and launch teams to instrument systems and iterate on automation.
- Design and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for low-latency detection and reliable alert delivery.
- Benchmark, load test, and tune streaming services to meet performance and reliability goals.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related field is a plus but not required.
