Skills
- 7+ years designing and delivering digital, compute-centric electronic systems
- Proven leadership on complex electrical/avionics projects including RF and compute-heavy systems
- Hands-on experience with thermal, mechanical, and EMI challenges for high-density electronics
- Strong systems engineering, interface management, and risk management skills
- Experience collaborating with software teams to bring up firmware and system software
- Proven prototyping, test planning, and hardware validation experience
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of space-qualified compute/storage units
- Develop and maintain ground-based hardware twins and hardware-in-the-loop test setups
- Balance compute (CPU/GPU/TPU), memory, and storage needs against flight constraints (power, thermal, EMI, mechanical)
- Lead hands-on development campaigns to evaluate technologies, de-risk interfaces, and validate performance
- Coordinate cross-functional work with software, science, systems engineering, and external vendors
- Define interfaces, perform systems-level requirements and trade studies, and manage technical risks
- Drive integration, verification, and test efforts through to flight-ready hardware
- Document designs, test results, and maintain configuration and interface control
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
- Relevant technical coursework or equivalent industry experience in avionics or electronic systems
