Product Manager, Engineering Tools
Skills
- 10+ years in product management or equivalent with focus on engineering tools (PLM/CAD)
- Proven experience delivering PLM platform roadmaps and large-scale implementations
- Strong knowledge of CAD file formats, auditing, repair, and validation of models
- Experience integrating PLM with ERP, MES, WMS and other enterprise systems
- Deep understanding of EBOM/MBOM structures and CAD-to-BOM data flows
- Excellent stakeholder communication, program management, and vendor management skills
- Systems thinking and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the roadmap for CAD and PLM systems aligned to engineering and business objectives
- Lead end-to-end product management for engineering tools from discovery through release and stakeholder communication
- Administer, configure, and optimize PLM infrastructure and integrations with ERP, MES, WMS and other systems
- Serve as primary point of contact for implementation vendors; manage program plans, phased rollouts, testing, training, and change management
- Ensure engineering releases are reflected accurately in downstream systems impacting manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and service
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and compliance to deliver scalable, secure solutions
- Define, track, and report KPIs for system performance, data integrity, and business impact
- Embed industry best practices and emerging technologies for engineering data management
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, or related field preferred
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience desirable but not required
