Skills
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and integrating on-prem datacenter services.
- Strong Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 configuration and hybrid mailflow expertise.
- Deep knowledge of IAM, authentication, and access management practices.
- Experience implementing retention, legal hold, and data lifecycle management in messaging platforms.
- Proficiency developing runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and automation to reduce noise and speed incident response.
- Proven vendor and partner management with documented decision-making and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define architecture, standards, and reversible configurations for hybrid cloud and messaging stacks (AWS, Azure, O365, on-prem).
- Stabilize user sign-in and mail flow, eliminating legacy risk patterns and improving tenant hygiene.
- Plan and execute migrations and upgrades with tested rollback procedures and stakeholder communication.
- Implement retention, legal hold, and eDiscovery/data lifecycle controls that meet policy while preserving productivity.
- Lead major incident response efforts, communicate status to leadership, and drive closure with corrective actions.
- Improve observability, alert quality, and automation; create concise runbooks to streamline operations and incident response.
- Coordinate technical escalations, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Mentor and guide engineers on change control, documentation standards, and cost-aware solution design.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar) are a strong plus.
