Been working as an account manager in NYC for 6+ years now — agency and brand side, full client load, solid results. I said I was aiming for $85–95K, which is honestly standard for this kind of role here. She chuckled and goes, “Maybe we can land you at 70.” Cool. And maybe I’ll land somewhere that actually respects experience.
