Palette Labs is building a decentralized protocol for commerce. Our first major use case is food delivery. We run a profitable, growing network where customers order from restaurants, drivers deliver food, and local operators spin up their own marketplaces. Think Uber Eats, but permissionless and owned by the people who use it.
After launching our own restaurant delivery service (Nosh) and experiencing the limitations of legacy providers first-hand, we built a modern platform from the ground up and have begun onboarding RDS’s nationwide. As more operators adopt our technology, providing strong operational support has become essential. This role sits at the center of that mission.

About the role
This strategic role is responsible for defining, executing, and measuring Palette Labs' entire marketing strategy, with the primary goal of generating high-quality organic network participation across all ecosystem participants. The Head of Marketing owns the brand narrative, channel strategy, and community mobilization efforts required to establish Palette Labs as a category leader for Decentralized Commerce (DeCom). This role partners closely with the founders on strategy and content production, and collaborates with the business development and product teams to articulate value to different user segments. Success will be measured by the volume and quality of organic inbound leads for new operators and protocol builders, the clarity and resonance of our moral narrative, and the development of a scalable network participant recruitment model within the first 6–12 months. Pragmatism and a focus on measurable impact are essential.
Responsibilities
Define the overarching marketing and growth strategy, budget, and channel plan, prioritizing pragmatic efforts that generate measurable organic inbound growth over 'marketing for marketing's sake.'
Establish the Palette Labs brand guidelines, determining when and how to leverage crypto/protocol language versus traditional commerce language across different user segments and communication channels.
Develop segmented messaging strategies to generate organic inbound for core audiences: protocol builders, new service operators, and network participants (drivers, merchants, customers).
Lead the narrative and PR strategy, building a strong, moral argument that positions local, protocol-based businesses as superior, and secure high-impact founder placements (e.g., podcasts, interviews etc).
Mobilize a global movement for decentralized commerce by establishing community organizations (e.g., conference playbook, online communities)
Design and test innovative, crypto-native recruitment models (e.g., customer referral programs) that incentivize network participants (drivers, customers, merchants) to organically grow the platform.
Cultivate high-level relationships with key external partners to facilitate strategic market entry, industry standardization, and regulatory understanding.
Requirements
Must-haves
5+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership, strategy, or growth, preferably in a startup environment (Web3/Crypto, Marketplace, or highly technical B2B/B2C company).
Demonstrated ability to define an overarching marketing strategy and measure ROI, with a strong focus on generating organic inbound leads rather than relying on paid services.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to craft compelling narratives for both technical and mainstream audiences.
Deeply pragmatic and realistic approach to growth; you prioritize high-impact, achievable efforts over speculative brand-building activities.
Experience or deep understanding of the complexity of multi-sided marketplaces ****(delivery, logistics, commerce) and the incentives required to engage different user segments (customer, driver, merchant).
Nice-to-haves
Prior experience in a decentralized/Web3 organization, including familiarity with token models, governance, and community-driven growth mechanics.
Experience building or mobilizing a community or social movement around a core value proposition or moral argument.
Direct experience with the food delivery or restaurant technology industry.
Experience securing high-value earned media (PR, podcasts, speaking engagements) for executive leadership.
