Pairtu is building the AI operating system for care navigation — a business-in-a-box platform for patient advocates that blends high-touch human support with tech-enabled workflows. The market is massive ($60B+), the need is urgent, and we have personal stakes in solving it.
We've raised VC funding, have healthcare traction, and now need a lead engineer who codes at a senior level, thrives in ambiguity, and can ship product end-to-end. You'll work directly with a CTO who ships code alongside the team. This is not a "manage a dev team" role today — this is building and shipping the platform yourself while the paint is still wet, with a path to building and leading engineering as we scale.
You'll use modern AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Antigravity, Copilot) to move faster as a product builder.
We started Pairtu after years of fighting the system for our own families—Arian's mom is beating pancreatic cancer today because he learned to hack insurance rules nobody explains. Our vision: everyone deserves a fighter like that.
Today we mix smart software with human advocates to guide Medicare patients through diagnoses, bills, and care plans. Investors from Omada, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare believe in the mission—and in the scrappy team of <10 building it.
Founded by experienced entrepreneurs with successful exits and deep healthcare + tech expertise.
Backed by top-tier investors and advisors, including founders and executives from Oscar Health, Omada, Galileo, One Medical, Ro, United, Uber, and Postmates.
We move fast and execute with purpose, operating with a lean, impact-driven mindset. We're guided by principles of conscious leadership, a commitment to getting things done (GSD), and a focus on achieving results through hard work, rapid iteration, and swift execution.
Pairtu is a fast-moving, high-impact startup where chaos is the norm, and ownership is key. There's no playbook—some days, you'll put out fires; other days, you'll build from scratch. If you thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and solve problems without waiting for direction, you'll fit right in. The upside? You'll level up and have growth, work with an elite, A+ team, and make a real impact as we scale.
Design, build, and launch the advocate and patient-facing apps, backend services, and integrations.
Move fast — prioritize shipping value while intentionally managing trade-offs.
Design and ship intake, triage, and follow-up systems that let us grow 5x.
Use AI tools to accelerate your own work as an extension of the skills you already have.
Translate ambiguous product needs into clear, buildable solutions.
Decide what to build in-house vs. integrate via third-party APIs.
Partner with product and ops to make design and UX tradeoffs quickly.
Work with clinical, ops, and growth leads to ensure product solves real user problems.
Join early customer calls to see pain points firsthand.
Set patterns for code quality, security, and compliance.
Be the person other engineers will follow — your work sets the bar.
Product + Ops Sense:
Have strong product instincts — you've shipped features end-to-end and made design/UX tradeoffs in collaboration with product.
Have built internal tooling or workflow automation for ops-heavy teams.
Communicate clearly and make good decisions quickly.
Core Technical:
Have 5+ years full-stack experience. Our stack is Python/Django, React/Next.js, and Postgres. You can ship a complete feature without handing off to someone else.
Have shipped production code in healthcare or another regulated industry.
Can design secure, HIPAA-compliant systems with proper audit logging and access controls.
Have experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and cloud hosting (AWS, GCP, or Aptible).
Comfortable with devops fundamentals — CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines.
Are 80%+ hands-on coding today, with a path to building and leading engineering as we scale. You'll manage our offshore team and shape how we grow the function.
Thrive in startup environments and want a seat at the table in technical + product decisions.
Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to ship faster — you're a builder who leverages AI, not an ML engineer who builds AI systems.
Worked directly with EHRs, claims systems, and care coordination tools.
Deep devops experience — container orchestration, observability, security hardening.
Background in startups or early-stage product development.
Freedom to Build: We trust you to own projects end-to-end — from architecture to deployment.
Ship Fast: We use AI tools to move faster. You'll leverage Cursor, Claude, and whatever else works to multiply your output.
Close to the Customer: You'll have direct access to patients, care navigators, and partners to ensure what we build makes a real impact.
Founder Mindset: Everyone on the team has started companies before. If you want to start your own someday, you'll be part of an environment that encourages learning.
Impact: Code the system that helps thousands of patients get better care.
Ownership: Founding equity package with high visibility.
Advocates can handle 3x the patient load because of the tools you've built.
We've proven scalability, security, and compliance in real-world use.
Technical decisions made early are enabling — not blocking — rapid iteration.
You've shaped the engineering function and have a clear path to team growth.
