We’re hiring an SEO Content Marketer to partner with our client – an AI-powered IT service platform – to lead and execute an organic content engine across search, blog, YouTube, and social. This role blends strategic thinking with editorial execution: you’ll own content planning, SEO research, and multi-channel distribution, while collaborating with creative partners across video, podcast, and design.

Accountability

As an SEO Content Marketer, your success will be measured by your ability to develop and maintain a high-performing content calendar, drive discoverability through SEO best practices, and coordinate cross-channel campaigns with precision and creativity.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Build and own an editorial calendar spanning blog, YouTube, and social content.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify content pillars and high-impact themes.
  • Write or manage the production of clear, engaging, search-optimized content.
  • Align content with brand narrative, business goals, and product messaging.

Execution & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with design, video, and podcast teams to bring stories to life across formats.
  • Support thought leadership initiatives and founder content development.
  • Guide YouTube scripting and blog content to align with SEO and brand priorities.
  • Repurpose content across platforms, adapting tone and format as needed.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor performance across GSC, Ahrefs, and other analytics tools.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize rankings, clickthroughs, and engagement.
  • Stay on top of SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and generative AI’s impact on search.
  • Surface insights to inform quarterly strategy shifts and experiments.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with sales, product marketing, and customer success to align messaging, product launches and content.
  • Support campaigns tied to launches, events, or customer education.
  • Coordinate approvals, reviews, and publishing timelines across stakeholders.

Colleagues

You’ll work directly with the marketing team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals – those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As an SEO Content Marketing Specialist, your vertical strength will be in SEO-driven editorial strategy, while your horizontal strengths may include content operations, video scripting, and cross-functional collaboration.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • SEO Experience: 3–5+ years of experience building content programs that drive organic growth
  • Content Strategy: Ability to plan and manage multi-channel editorial calendars
  • Writing Skills: Strong command of tone, clarity, structure, and long-form content writing
  • SEO Fundamentals: Keyword research, optimization techniques, and performance analysis
  • Editorial Tools: Proficiency with Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Notion or similar
  • Project Management: Ability to coordinate timelines and collaborate across teams smoothly
  • Cross-Format Fluency: Experience repurposing content across blog, YouTube, podcast, and social
  • Growth Mindset: Openness to experimentation, iteration, and applying feedback in real-time

Bonus skills:

  • Experience scripting YouTube or podcast content
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, VEO3)
  • Comfort in fast-paced, early-stage SaaS environments
  • Interest in the future of work, AI, or professional development

Role Specifications

This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us.
