Mission Summary
Empower every Observe engineer to move faster and build better. As a Software Engineer on Tools and Infrastructure, your mission is to design and deliver systems, tools, and automation that maximize developer productivity, reduce friction, and create a world-class engineering experience. Your success is measured by how much more efficiently others can ship, test, and operate software because of the tools you build.
At Observe, our mission is to revolutionize how engineers build and operate software. As a Software Engineer, Tools and Infrastructure, you will focus on one primary goal: boosting engineering productivity and enhancing the developer experience across the organization.
You will design, build, and maintain the development tools, systems, and infrastructure that empower our engineers to deliver high-quality features faster, more reliably, and more sustainably. Your work will directly shape how our teams code, test, build, release, and operate — making productivity gains and developer satisfaction the key measures of success.
Observe’s engineering team develops next-generation technologies in the observability domain, transforming how users collect, explore, and interact with logs, traces, and metrics at scale. Our products handle massive amounts of data, requiring innovation in distributed computing, large-scale system design, and performance engineering. You’ll bring fresh ideas and help land them — from improving build and release workflows to designing hermetic local environments — while ensuring our developers can focus on solving complex problems, not fighting friction.
In this role, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You’ll collaborate across teams, build automation that eliminates repetitive work, and champion best practices that raise the bar for engineering excellence.
