Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in our outpatient Oncology Triage Clinic (OTC). The APP will demonstrate clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities, which may include diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute health problems within the hematology/oncology patient population. Responsible for the health outcomes of the acutely ill hematology/oncology patient population. Confers with collaborating physicians and other health professionals in the area of clinical expertise. Develops appropriate educational systems for patients, families, and staff in areas of expertise. Mentors graduate students in aspects of advanced practice and patient care. Actively participates in quality improvement and/or research pertinent to the area of expertise.
Shift: Full-time, 40 hours per week: Four 10-hour shifts per week including a Saturday shift each week; three shifts will be Mon-Fri, days to be determined; no nights/holidays/on-call
