Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Principal Network Communications Engineer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our NG organization. This role is located in Georgia, USA.  

In this role, you will be performing as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract. This role will require that you must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019/ 2022, Workstation operating systems, end-user support in an Active Directory environment, general understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

Your duties include:

• Support establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding. 
• Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019/ 2022 platform and functions
• Management of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) platform to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules. 
• Participating in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
• Exhibiting excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.  
• Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
• The ability to support multiple networks, ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed, direct others as necessary.
• Recommending and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
• Creation and maintenance of computer user and accounts and modifying file permissions and security access lists.
• Testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
• Developing and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Adherence to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
• Maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
• Preparing security documentation for input to Computer Security.
• Reporting project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
• Working under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Being able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
• Supporting deployed activities in and out of the United States at >50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors of Science degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional / military experience OR a Masters and at least 3 years of relevant professional / military experience. A HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent with at least 9 years of relevant professional / military experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
• Must have the ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Must have the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must have and be able to maintain a valid U.S. Passport.
• Must meet customer medical requirements for worldwide travel.
• Must be willing to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
• Must have and maintain a CompTIA Security+ CE certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• An advanced level of experience and familiarity of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and associated products (MS SCCM, SCSM, MECM, etc.).
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, its operational procedures and service delivery activities.
• Experience with scripting with PowerShell and automating various IT processes.
• Strong experience with Active Directory.
• Strong experience with Group policy design, testing and implementation
• Strong ability to work both independently and as a part of a team

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
