Job Specifics Duties Description Under the direct supervision of the Senior Administrative Analyst for the Automated Work Zone Speed Enforcement (AWZSE) program, the Office Assistant 2 will perform duties including but not limited to:

· Act as the primary customer service point of contact.

· Provide written and phone correspondence to customers.

· Respond to inquiries received through the Authority’s website, by email, and directly from contractors.

· Track administrative tasks required for the AWZSE Program.

· Design and/or improve processing procedures to increase efficiency.

· Make decisions based on the procedures as defined by management, including Image Certification.

· Assist in special projects when required.

Minimum Qualifications TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS FOR CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES: Current New York State employees with one year or more of qualifying permanent service allocated to salary grades 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the NYS Civil Service Law.

NY HELPS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of clerical experience.

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.

At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in an NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.

ADDITIONAL PAY INFORMATION: The salary range for this position includes all applicable annual components of pay which are: Base Pay Range from Hiring Rate $39,737 up to Job Rate $56,710. Recruitment & Retention Pay: $7,000.
