We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock, our premium ad-supported streaming service. We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Universal Studio Group, and have world-renowned theme parks and attractions through Universal Destinations & Experiences. NBCUniversal is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.

Our impact is rooted in improving the communities where our employees, customers, and audiences live and work. We have a rich tradition of giving back and ensuring our employees have the opportunity to serve their communities. We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Platform Distribution & Partnerships is a key division within NBCUniversal’s Media Group, responsible for distributing and monetizing our multi-billion-dollar portfolio of linear and streaming services. We manage relationships with pay-TV providers, NBC affiliates, consumer tech platforms, and brands—driving revenue across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo, and FAST channels.

We’re looking for a strategic operator and collaborative leader to join our Strategic Enablement team. This team transforms distribution strategy into execution—bridging the gap between deal-making and delivery. You’ll work cross-functionally with Business Development, Legal, Technology, and Operations to ensure our distribution agreements are implemented with precision, clarity, and impact across traditional, affiliate, FAST, and SVOD deals. With a business-first mindset, we drive clarity, consistency, and results that align with NBCUniversal’s strategic goals.

As a Senior Director, you will:

  • Partner closely with deal teams to understand contract terms through a product, technology and operations lens and translate them into business requirements for execution teams.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure distribution deal terms are delivered and distribution objectives are embedded in their respective roadmaps.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities to streamline and optimize execution.
  • Build scalable frameworks and workflows that support repeatable success across deals.
  • Ensure compliance and continuity for initiatives managed by distribution and platform teams.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on deal execution progress and key performance indicators.
  • Oversee and manage initiatives, programs, and projects that fall under the Platform Distribution & Partnerships umbrella.
  • Own the creation and upkeep of strategic documentation such as playbooks, standards of procedure, to ensure teams have clear, consistent, and actionable content that supports execution and alignment.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

  • Lead operational execution across traditional, affiliate, FAST, and SVOD distribution deals.
  • Translate complex contract terms into actionable plans that drive alignment and delivery.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure strategic priorities are reflected in execution.
  • Influence emerging media terms across ad tech, measurement, product, and operations.
  • Provide strategic oversight and cross-functional coordination across key initiatives.

Who You Are

  • Experienced & Strategic: 8+ years in business operations, sales, program management, transformation, or distribution—ideally in media, entertainment, or a related space.
  • Clear Communicator: You simplify complexity and make ideas resonate across audiences.
  • Inclusive Leader: You promote quality, accountability, innovation, and kindness.
  • Change Agent: You align diverse stakeholders and drive meaningful transformation.
  • Operationally Sharp: Skilled in portfolio management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Multitasker: You manage multiple complex projects with clarity and calm.
  • Tech Fluent: You understand digital media technologies and connect business with tech.
  • Trusted Partner: Senior leaders rely on your guidance to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
  • Collaborative by Nature: You build inclusive teams and foster transparency across functions.
  • Sales Savvy: You understand sales processes and have implemented programs at scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with operational systems, supply chain workflows, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant trends that could impact the organization’s business short-term and long-term.
  • Fluency with enterprise collaboration tools and program management software such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable.
