Hybrid – Buffalo, NYMoog is searching for a Test Equipment Deployment Engineer to join our team withing Military Aircraft Group. You will report to the Test Equipment Section Head and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, New York. You’ll be responsible for Test Equipment verification, validation, documentation, training and on-site successful deployment for use by customers both internal to Moog and separate companies that are external to Moog.
This position is onsite at our East Aurora, NY location.
To be considered for the Test Equipment Deployment Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical)
3 – 6 years’ test equipment design or integration experience
Experience in development and production testing within a relevant engineering sector with particular experience in the provision of test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems
Proven ability to work in close cooperation with customers while representing one’s company in a positive light even under difficult situations
Proactive problem solving and resolution skills, with the ability to exercise mature judgement
Travel to range from 10%-15% on average
As a Test Equipment Deployment Engineer, you will:
Build, integrate, verify/validate Test Systems.
Deploy successful test equipment that’s customer accepted and ready for transfer to Sustainment.
Attend and participate at Critical Design Reviews (CDR) as an entry point.
Support assembly of test equipment that is normally performed by technicians. Act as interface between the assembly process and design engineering to provide clarification and resolve issues that arise during assembly.
Integrate test support of Design Engineering (task owner) as required.
Be responsible for formal Verification Test Procedures, formal testing and Verification Test Report, including driving resolution on all requirements that are not successfully verified leading to Verification Test complete.
Support customer validation including coordination of correlation testing, where applicable.
Be responsible for ensuring all documentation and software is complete, fully released and product conforms to released documentation.
Be responsible for calibration procedure generation, checkout, verification and release. Identification of all external equipment necessary to perform calibration.
Be accountable for deployment site pre-installation survey and facility readiness coordination leading to successful installation and functionality. Includes identification of specific local rules and regulations that may impact installation and usage.
Perform user training and related documentation that may include user and maintenance manuals.
Be responsible for spare parts recommendation list submittal to the customer and Sustainment group.
Be responsible for ensuring compliance with defined processes, generation of technical documentation, and reporting.
Maintain and control configuration management of test equipment throughout development and until deployed for customer use.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
