Software Engineer, AI (0→1 Product Focus)

We are a high-growth, well-funded technology company pioneering the Composable Customer Data Platform (CDP) and AI Decisioning space. We empower every business user to leverage data and AI for marketing personalization and business operations. We are looking for a product-minded Software Engineer to explore new 0→1 opportunities in AI and define the future of AI-powered marketing.

This is a unique, high-impact role focused on prototyping and shipping entirely new product ideas. You will blend backend engineering, data analysis, and applied AI to create infrastructure and features that generate insights and content from vast customer datasets.

What you'll work on:

• Own 0→1 AI Opportunities: Take ownership of exploring and developing new product lines, particularly within the marketing domain, leveraging AI/ML.
• Build AI Infrastructure: Design and build early experiments and the necessary infrastructure (LLMs, light ML) to generate sophisticated insights and personalized content directly from customer data.
• Rapid Prototyping: Work closely with a small team, including the CTO and COO, to quickly prototype and ship new product ideas that lay the groundwork for major product lines.
• AI Methodology Exploration: Explore different AI methodologies and determine where various LLMs can and cannot be most effectively and reliably used within the product.
• Develop AI Agents: Contribute to the development of an automated AI agent capable of finding unique insights, converting them into marketing opportunities, generating content, and identifying high-propensity users or those likely to churn.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level engineer with a product-first mindset, comfortable operating with speed and ambiguity in an early-stage exploration environment.

• 4–12 years of software engineering experience with a strong product-first mindset.
• Proven track record of building and scaling AI/ML-driven products.
• Proficiency in Backend Engineering and experience working with LLMs and/or light ML for content or insight generation.
• Strong background in data analysis and the ability to apply AI models to derive business value from customer data.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, necessary for working closely with founders and product leadership to define vision.

Work Policy:

• This is a full-time, hybrid role. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area to occasionally visit the office for critical team meetings.
