Certified Nurse Midwife - Advanced Practice

Mercyhealth, an award-winning fully integrated health care delivery organization based in Wisconsin and Illinois, is seeking an experienced Midwife to join our Women’s Health team at our Mulford Clinic in Rockford, IL.

Opportunity:

• Provide patient care and education to an assigned caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients in accordance with established midwifery practice guidelines
• Educate midwifery, medical and nursing students, and nursing and resident staff in normal childbirth.
• Collaboration with our experienced team of 5 OB/GYN physicians, and 1 Hospitalist. 
• Hours will vary clinic office hours are 8a-5p, two days week, and calls are shared amongst midwife group with CNMs performing two 24-hour on call shifts, which can be done from home.
• Position will include both clinic and assisting with deliveries at the hospital, including c-sections in the OR, averaging 100-150 deliveries annually.
• Provided with support staff and clinical team for outpatient care setting.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Midwifery Program
• Current IL RN license
• Current IL APRN license
• Current DEA number
• Other certifications as required
• Previous Midwife experience preferred
