Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager
Skills
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with SEC filings and regulatory reporting
- Experience with SOX controls and internal control frameworks
- Proficiency with ERP/reporting tools (NetSuite, Workiva or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables)
- Strong communication skills and experience working with auditors
- Project and team leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable).
- Manage preparation and filing of quarterly and annual regulatory filings (e.g., 10-Q, 10-K) and other required submissions.
- Coordinate and lead external audit engagements and respond to auditor inquiries to ensure timely completion of audits.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and disclosure requirements.
- Support SOX implementation and internal controls over financial reporting; document and test controls.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and reporting team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, legal, investor relations, and business teams to align reporting and disclosures.
- Identify and implement process improvements and reporting automations; maintain reporting systems and tools.
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory bodies during reviews or inquiries.
- Deliver high-quality analysis and disclosures to senior management to support decision-making.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA preferred
