Director, Product Engineering

May Mobility builds and deploys autonomous vehicles to improve urban transit; the Director of Product will lead multiple product teams across autonomy, application software, data & analytics, and vehicle hardware to define product strategy, roadmaps, pricing and go-to-market positioning while working closely with engineering, BD and customer success to deliver commercially viable autonomy products.

Skills

  • Deep expertise in autonomous vehicle systems and ability to debate technical tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Experience translating business goals into engineering-ready requirements (PRDs/MRDs).
  • Strong data-driven decision-making using vehicle telemetry and operational metrics.
  • Proven stakeholder alignment and conflict-resolution across senior leaders.
  • Ruthless prioritization skills balancing partner/customer value and foundational autonomy investment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of product managers across autonomy, software, data and hardware domains.
  • Define compelling product visions, strategies and multi-year roadmaps informed by market, customer and technology trends.
  • Implement and manage an iterative product development process from customer insights through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, BD, customer success) and drive consensus on prioritization and trade-offs.
  • Set and deliver OKRs for products and the product organization; establish and refine KPI processes.
  • Oversee pricing, value analysis, and go-to-market positioning to maximize competitiveness, volume and margins.
  • Direct market research objectives and leverage insights to inform product decisions.
  • Support and contribute to special projects as requested by leadership.

Education

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business or related field preferred but not required.
