- 7+ years professional software engineering experience with full-stack delivery
- Strong TypeScript/Node.js and React experience
- Backend system design and cloud infrastructure (AWS, serverless) expertise
- Experience integrating and productionizing LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source)
- Proficiency with Python for AI workflows, PostgreSQL, and Redis
- Proven experience leading or technical mentoring of small engineering teams
- Focus on code quality, testing, observability, and security
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for AI-powered report generation and core product systems
- Design, build, and scale backend and frontend services used by clinicians and internal teams
- Drive architectural decisions, infrastructure setup, and maintain code quality across the stack
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to move LLM features from prototype to production
- Mentor and grow a team of engineers through coaching, code reviews, and pairing
- Own uptime, performance, security, and reliability for core engineering systems
- Remove development and delivery bottlenecks to improve team velocity
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and clinical stakeholders
Education
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
