At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
About 4 years ago, Lyft began investing in building a top-to-bottom Mapping platform to enable timely, accurate, and efficient navigation and routing for more than 800 million rides each year. Lyft's Mapping team has built industry leading mapping solutions, including: effective and accurate navigation, a data enrichment platform to add mapping data layers to inform each journey, accurate ETA prediction, smooth pickup and dropoff experiences, and accurate traffic and closure information. Most importantly, this team has transformed what the mapping and ride experience is for Rideshare Drivers and Riders.
With these building blocks in place, the team is now looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering, reporting to the Head of Mapping, to lead the technical direction, strategy, and execution of our mapping platform and services. You'll lead a talented group of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence as we continue to build upon the foundational platform that powers our products and services.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our core technology, shaping the future of how users interact with and experience the world through our mapping solutions.
