Senior Business Analyst

Lightedge is seeking a motivated Senior Business Analyst to support our team. The Business Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A and will support monthly reporting and developing / improving business reporting across all Lightedge’s operations. This role is instrumental in providing executives with strategic business insights to help support decision making.

• Maintain and improve monthly and quarterly Executive & Board reporting
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, sales, and other teams to gather and validate reporting requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards ensuring accuracy, clarity, and usability
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple sources (e.g., Snowflake, other data warehouses).
• Use Excel (and VBA when needed) for advanced modeling, ad-hoc analysis, and supplemental reporting
• Partner with data engineering/IT to ensure proper data connections, definitions, and governance
• Conduct rigorous QA to validate data accuracy before publishing dashboards
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes, standardize metrics, and automate recurring reports
• Serve as the go-to resource for dashboard development and reporting support within FP&A and across the business

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
• Required technical skills:
• Advanced Excel – modeling, complex formulas, dynamic reporting, and automation; VBA a plus.
• Strong SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Proficiency with Tableau or Power BI for visualization and dashboard development.
• 2+ years in a BI, business analyst, or FP&A role with a track record of successful dashboard development or model building
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Eligible to work in the United States without restrictions

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Cube, or other cloud BI/data platforms
• Background in recurring-revenue or service-based industries
• Experience in finance or FP&A reporting
