Strategic Account Manager, Public Safety

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic sales professional to lead engagements with the largest and most complex public safety organizations across major metropolitan areas. In this role, you will drive the adoption of an AI-powered, enterprise-grade platform that unifies real-time data, analytics, and operational workflows. You will navigate complex procurement processes, influence policy and modernization decisions, and coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, high-stakes environments, combining technical fluency with political savvy and the ability to build lasting relationships with city leaders and emergency management executives. This is a hunter role, focused on expanding market presence, displacing legacy systems, and delivering measurable impact on public safety operations.


Accountabilities:
  • Own and drive enterprise platform deals in major metropolitan public safety agencies, managing multi-year, high-visibility engagements.
  • Sell AI-powered, data-driven solutions that enhance call handling, situational awareness, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders, including 911 directors, CTOs, CIOs, chiefs, sheriffs, deputy mayors, and emergency managers.
  • Influence strategic modernization initiatives, guiding policy decisions and digital transformation efforts.
  • Navigate complex procurement cycles, RFPs, grant funding, and multi-vendor technology ecosystems.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams, including product, solution engineers, AI specialists, implementation, legal, and B2B partners.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical, legal, interoperability, and security challenges to ensure smooth adoption.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of enterprise or public sector SaaS sales experience, with a track record of closing large-scale transformation deals.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence multi-stakeholder, high-complexity deals in politically sensitive environments.
  • Deep understanding of municipal procurement, budget cycles, grants, legal and IT compliance, and public safety regulations.
  • Strong technical and business fluency, including AI, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and real-time data pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence skills.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with 911 operations, CAD, NG911 systems, enterprise security, or public safety infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Existing relationships with major U.S. metro agencies and experience in public safety, defense, or critical infrastructure.
