Staff Engineer

In this role, you will drive the delivery of complex software initiatives while guiding and mentoring a team of engineers. You will have a direct impact on the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performing web applications, contributing to the company’s mission of transforming healthcare solutions. Your work will span cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and business teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will be responsible for both technical excellence and team growth, shaping engineering practices and delivering high-quality solutions that improve user experience and client outcomes. • Accountabilities
• Lead the delivery of major initiatives, ensuring cohesion across multiple features and contributors.
• Coach and mentor engineers on design, coding, and best practices for scalable and maintainable applications.
• Guide software development processes, including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify and implement process and code improvements to optimize maintainability, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate with product, design, sales, and client success teams to meet organizational goals.
• Communicate technical vision and initiative goals clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate solution options, presenting recommendations with considerations of scope, resources, and team capacity.

• Requirements
• 8+ years of professional experience in software development, including 2+ years in leadership or management roles.
• Strong technical expertise in Python, Django, Typescript with React, Java, Hibernate ORM, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Heroku.
• Experience leading teams in Agile, Scrum, or Lean environments.
• Proven ability to coach engineers, manage complex initiatives, and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, startup environments is preferred.
