In this role, you will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and maintaining large-scale systems that handle billions of messages daily. You will contribute to the core infrastructure powering email ingestion and remediation, ensuring reliability, speed, and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on distributed systems that form the foundation of a critical cybersecurity platform. You will collaborate with multiple R&D teams, own key backend services, and continuously optimize system performance. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and operate core backend services that support large-scale email ingestion and remediation pipelines.
• Develop and maintain tier-0 distributed systems that handle billions of emails daily, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Detection, Product, and Infrastructure to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high uptime and quick resolution of production issues.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in system efficiency, scalability, and automation.
• Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and uphold high standards of engineering quality and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend software development and distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python, with a solid grasp of software design principles.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production systems end-to-end.
• Familiarity with working in distributed teams and strong asynchronous communication skills.
• Ability to balance new feature development with operational ownership.
• A growth-oriented mindset and motivation to expand impact and responsibilities over time.
• Nice to Have: Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Django, Spark, or Prometheus, and knowledge of containerization (Docker or similar).

• Competitive base salary range: $148,800 – $175,000 USD, plus eligibility for bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
