Security Engineer (Remote - US)

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain a robust security infrastructure to protect organizational assets against evolving threats. You’ll work hands-on with a wide array of security tools, from endpoint protection and SIEM systems to cloud and network security solutions. This position blends technical expertise with strategic insight, allowing you to optimize systems, automate workflows, and collaborate across teams to strengthen security posture. Accountabilities

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of security tools, ensuring they align with organizational needs and existing systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with security tools to maintain high performance and uptime.
• Evaluate new security technologies and lead proof-of-concept projects to assess their suitability.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to integrate security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Automate repetitive security tasks and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of tool configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Partner with other security teams to improve overall capabilities, share insights, and enhance response readiness.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, serving as a subject matter expert on security tools.

• 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, focusing on security engineering, tool deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or vendor-specific credentials (e.g., CrowdStrike, Netskope, Tenable).
• Hands-on expertise with endpoint protection, EDR, SIEM, DLP, vulnerability management, and network security tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software security solutions.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation purposes.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
