Director, Institutional Marketing

The Director, Institutional Marketing will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at healthcare professionals, with a focus on specialized centers and key opinion leaders. This role involves creating impactful resources, digital initiatives, and educational programs to support field teams and drive brand awareness. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including commercial operations, patient marketing, and insights, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns and materials. The successful candidate will manage agency partners, coordinate compliance reviews, and oversee budgets and timelines. This role offers the opportunity to shape innovative marketing programs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Strong digital marketing expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills are essential for success.


  • Accountabilities:
  • Develop and refine marketing strategies and tactical plans for targeted healthcare professional centers.
  • Lead creation of educational resources, tools, and promotional materials for field teams.
  • Drive HCP-facing initiatives including brand messaging, digital campaigns, congress management, and educational activities.
  • Manage agency partners and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of marketing materials and adherence to budgets.
  • Coordinate review and approval processes with medical and promotional committees to ensure compliance.
  • Engage with HCPs and key opinion leaders to gather insights and translate them into actionable marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet commercial and corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support integrated brand activities and patient-focused initiatives.

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Field experience such as Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), sales, or similar roles is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in rare disease or specialty pharma is an asset.
  • Strong digital marketing experience, with the ability to drive innovative campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
