Accountabilities
- Identify, architect, and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into cyber detection, response, and intelligence workflows.
- Prototype novel security solutions, APIs, and automation frameworks to improve operational capabilities.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, helping shape the organization’s cyber direction.
- Collaborate with engineering, threat intelligence, and operations teams to ensure alignment across telemetry, control, and security strategies.
- Develop representative detections and threat models to validate approaches and train internal teams.
- Monitor emerging technologies, adversary techniques, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion scalable, measurable, and impactful cyber solutions with a product-oriented mindset.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security projects, conducting research and overseeing implementation of threat remediation techniques.
- Mentor junior engineers and analysts to build team capability and knowledge.
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 8 years in hands-on engineering roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in detection engineering, threat hunting, and cyber intelligence.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical applications in cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, telemetry pipelines, and security architecture.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and drive change across complex organizations.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent preferred.
- Track record of mentoring junior engineers and/or analysts.
- Active engagement in industry trends, forums, professional associations, or conferences.
