This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AVP/Corporate Communications in the United States.

The AVP/Corporate Communications will lead the development and execution of strategic communications that strengthen organizational reputation, engage employees, and connect with members and communities. This high-visibility leadership role blends brand storytelling, media relations, crisis communication, and internal engagement, ensuring a consistent, compelling voice across all channels. The role requires collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders, while serving as both a trusted advisor and an authentic representative of the organization. The AVP will manage internal messaging, public-facing narratives, and community-focused initiatives to drive engagement, trust, and impact.


  • Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values.
  • Craft and deliver messaging that resonates with diverse audiences, including employees, members, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead internal communications initiatives, ensuring team members are informed, inspired, and connected across all levels.
  • Manage executive communications, company-wide updates, and high-profile events.
  • Oversee media and influencer relations, brand storytelling, and public presence at community and industry events.
  • Plan and execute proactive and responsive crisis communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support change management, engagement, and organizational initiatives.
  • Monitor media and social channels for emerging issues, providing guidance to leadership on response strategies.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
  • 6–8 years of leadership experience managing teams and high-profile communications initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in internal communications, brand storytelling, and media engagement.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex communications challenges with discretion and sound judgment.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree, experience in financial services or community-focused industries, and familiarity with omnichannel communications strategies including digital, social, and in-person engagement.
