We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead strategic client initiatives and drive high-quality delivery across key accounts in the life sciences and healthcare communications space. This role combines client relationship management with commercial strategy, ensuring excellence across publications programs and broader communications projects. The ideal candidate will guide internal teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to business development while maintaining a strong focus on growth and innovation.   • Accountabilities:
  • Lead the commercial strategy for high-profile publications programs and expand the account into additional workstreams over time.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and drive organic business development.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with client teams, external experts, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to internal account teams, fostering professional development and high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee account financials and project budgets, ensuring commercial performance meets or exceeds key KPIs.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, product development, and innovative approaches to client communications.

  • Requirements:
  • Strong life sciences background with experience in healthcare communications or related agencies, ideally supporting publications accounts.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor account teams, providing clear strategic direction.
  • Confidence in offering strategic counsel to clients and contributing to business development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Experience nurturing client relationships and guiding teams toward high-quality execution.
  • Must be based in the USA with the right to work there.
