Product Manager (P&C Commercial Lines)

Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) is a growth-stage, KKR-backed technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler building an Insurtech platform to serve brokers and Main Street businesses. ISC is hiring a Commercial Lines Product Manager (P&C) to own product performance for complex, high-touch commercial lines programs — driving pricing, underwriting efficiency, data reporting, and margin optimization through collaboration with underwriting, tech, actuarial, finance and executive teams.

Skills

  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and reporting
  • Proficient in Python or equivalent data analysis tools
  • Excel power user (advanced modeling and pivot/table skills)
  • Knowledge of commercial lines rating plans and ISO loss costs
  • Understanding of actuarial fundamentals (loss triangles, development, credibility)
  • Experience with data warehouses and business intelligence/reporting tools
  • Pricing strategy experience in P&C insurance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product scorecards to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to business unit leaders and management.
  • Acquire subject matter expertise on policy and claim data, using SQL, Python or analytics tools to extract, summarize and report policy, premium and loss information.
  • Manage rating plans and pricing strategies (ISO advisory rates and proprietary plans); monitor premium and exposure trends and recommend segmentation and pricing actions.
  • Oversee policy forms kits (ISO, carrier-specific, proprietary) and lead implementations with the tech team.
  • Define requirements to streamline, automate and structure new and renewal underwriting and policy issuance workflows; evaluate third-party data sources to improve efficiency and risk assessment.
  • Ensure loss runs from TPAs are ingested, archived and reported correctly; analyze losses accounting for credibility and development maturity.
  • Conduct competitor and market segment analysis to identify product opportunities and competitive gaps; drive product enhancements to close gaps.
  • Optimize financial results by balancing production, loss ratio, agency commissions and fees.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (quantitative discipline preferred)
  • Relevant industry training or continuing education in insurance, actuarial science, data analytics or product management is a plus
