About us:
At Innate, we are building general-purpose robots AI that truly feel alive and useful.
We believe the best path towards that future is for everyone to participate in training and programming them. To that end, a radical experience must be created for our products to be intuitive to use and develop with. We build all of it, from the base hardware to the operating system and the AI on top of it. Our robots are meant to be delightful and run the best of what AI can provide at any point in time.
Our team is young, and members have created and led government-funded high-powered rocketry teams at <20y.o, topped our countries in our grad studies, researched at the best labs at Stanford, shipped product to 100k+ users at 14y.o, and topped technical competitions at elite universities. We all have a long portfolio we are proud of showing and believe together we can build something the world has never seen, all from the very heart of Palo Alto.
About the role:
In this position, we are looking for elite AI engineers who want to innovate past the state-of-the-art of embodied agents and robot learning and ship it in consumer products that will change the world. If you have done research, have a portfolio you are proud of showing and have the most fun building almost impossible AI systems, we want to hear from you.
Working at Innate is highly collaborative. We all trust our skills and several projects are worked on by several people at the same time.
What you would work on:
(Priority) Robot learning: Developing and improving fast training pipeline, BC and/or RL-based models, self-improving methods.
Communication protocols: Fast transmission of datasets, video stream, actuator data...
Novel control systems: How to make robots be controlled and trained faster and easier.
What you likely also will work on:
Foundation agent research: Designing a brain agent that can drive a robot with manipulation and navigation abilities.
Simulated environment: RL environments to evaluate and further train our methods in the cloud.
Product: Mobile apps, Robot OS, developing SDKs...
This is a fit for you if:
You like to go deep in the details of what you build
You have research experience in one of the areas above
Learn quickly
Like to be creative in your work
