  • Business Case Ownership: Develop, present, and defend business cases for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial targets.

  • KPI and Success Metrics: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product and team success, using data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in product development or market positioning, and proactively formulate mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software product management, including at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Track record of building, mentoring, and leading diverse and high-performing teams.

  • Deep understanding of PC operating systems, application software, and evolving user needs in the PC ecosystem.

  • Experience with agile product development methodologies and tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams and understand software architecture.

  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics, customer insights, and product usage metrics.

  • Experience in driving partnerships and collaborations with third-party vendors or technology partners.

  • Background in cybersecurity, cloud computing, or integration with hardware platforms is a plus.

Core Competencies

  • Visionary Thinking: Ability to anticipate and shape market trends, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.

  • User-Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for customers and a relentless drive to improve their experience.

  • Leadership: Inspiring and motivating teams, setting clear goals, and holding self and others accountable.

  • Collaboration: Building strong, trust-based relationships across functions and geographies.

  • Results Orientation: Focusing on outcomes, measuring performance, and delivering against commitments.

  • Adaptability: Thriving in ambiguity, managing change, and pivoting strategies as needed.

  • Communication: Clearly conveying complex information, tailoring messages to diverse audiences, and advocating effectively for the product vision.

  • Analytical Rigor: Leveraging data to inform decisions, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Lead weekly product reviews and strategic planning meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Engage directly with customers and partners to validate product direction and gather feedback.

  • Align product releases with marketing and sales strategies, ensuring successful go-to-market execution.
