Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Ortho Spine) - Sun City, AZ

Now Hiring: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Orthopedic Spine

Location: Sun City, Arizona

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Practice Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic + Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

Travel Requirements: None

On-Call: Minimal; shared rotation within the orthopedic APP team

About the Opportunity

An established orthopedic spine program in Sun City, AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its high-performing team. This full-time role combines outpatient clinic care with opportunities to participate intraoperatively and assist with procedures.

This position is ideal for providers who thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment and want to be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on complex spine care, teamwork, and long-term patient outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Incentive Structure: Productivity-based bonus with total earning potential up to $225,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic spine conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with surgical protocols
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up visits
  • Support wound care, minor procedures, and spinal injections
  • Provide intraoperative assistance when applicable
  • Triage emergent patient concerns and provide timely responses
  • Participate in rounding, care planning, and shared on-call responsibilities
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and recovery expectations
  • Document clinical encounters accurately and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Puerto Rico-based programs not eligible)
  • Active, unrestricted Arizona license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • DEA certification in good standing
  • NP First Assist training (if applicable) in alignment with AORN guidelines
  • Preferred: Prior experience in orthopedic or spine surgery
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to excel in fast-paced settings
