Legal Technology Consulting Director - Discovery and Data Management

Harbor is a leading provider of legal strategy, technology, operations, and intelligence services, supporting law firms and corporate legal departments. We are hiring a senior Legal Technology Consulting Director focused on Discovery and Data Management to lead client engagements, deliver eDiscovery and data management implementations, and drive process and program improvements for Fortune 500 clients.

Skills

  • Deep eDiscovery domain expertise (EDRM, FRCP, eDiscovery workflows)
  • Hands-on implementation experience with platforms like Relativity, Exterro, Reveal, DISCO, Everlaw, Nuix, OpenText
  • Familiarity with productivity/data platforms such as M365 Purview, Google Vault, Slack and preservation features
  • Strong project management, budgeting, and scope control skills
  • Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement with senior legal and IT leaders
  • Ability to develop playbooks, SOPs, training curricula, and change management plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, storytelling, and client presentation skills
  • Comfort with learning and applying AI-enabled tools and new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple client engagements and serve as primary client escalation contact for eDiscovery and DDM projects
  • Oversee project delivery including schedules, budgets, scope, vendor coordination, and status reporting
  • Conduct assessments, technology selections, and end-to-end implementations of legal hold, collection, processing, ECA, and review systems
  • Design operating models, workflows, playbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and training materials to improve discovery programs
  • Perform data mapping, inventory profiling, and defensible disposition advising for data hygiene and compliance
  • Provide augmented eDiscovery case support and serve as system administrator or managed services lead when needed
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to practice-level delivery improvements
  • Support business development: proposals, SOWs, vendor relationships, thought leadership, and industry events

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Science, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Formal training or certifications in eDiscovery, project management, or relevant legal technology platforms preferred
