Team Lead, Data Security - Northeast region (Remote)
Skills
- Hands-on experience with data protection platforms (DLP, DSPM, CASB, insider risk solutions).
- Deep understanding of encryption, key management (KMS/HSM), tokenization, and data masking.
- Experience designing data discovery and classification programs for structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with security automation and integrations using APIs and scripting (Python, PowerShell) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Strong client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience within consulting or delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary technical lead on client data security engagements, overseeing design, delivery, and implementation of data protection solutions.
- Assess clients' current data protection posture and develop tailored data security strategies aligned to business and compliance goals.
- Design and document enterprise data security architectures (discovery, classification, encryption, tokenization, access control) across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead tooling assessments and integrations for DLP, DSPM, CASB, insider risk, and other data protection platforms.
- Provide technical oversight for deployments, policy configuration, and tooling integration into client infrastructures.
- Lead, mentor, and assign tasks to consultants and engineers; review deliverables and ensure technical consistency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives and technical teams on best practices, regulatory impacts, and emerging technologies.
- Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and automation to improve client data security maturity and consulting methodologies.
- Travel up to 25% within the Northeast for client meetings, events, and QBRs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CDPSE) preferred but not required.
