Scheduler, Buyer, Planner

Geoprobe® Scheduler, Buyer, Planners are responsible for analyzing and fulfilling supply and demand. This team works to 1) guarantee material availability for on-time production of the best possible soil and drilling equipment and 2) ensure consistent product availability for direct sale to customers and distributors.  The ideal candidate is process-oriented, not daunted by repetitive work with data, and enjoys collaboration with multiple departments.   

Responsibilities  

  • Partner with engineering and production to ensure we have the right part, at the right place, right time, and right cost 
  • Coordinate with engineering and production to manage the transition of new designs into production  
  • Reduce purchase parts lead time using vendor and inventory management solutions 
  • Reduce operational lead times by collaborating with production and engineering to redesign and improve processes 
  • Release work orders to the shops as they align with the production plan 
  • Work with production departments to ensure capacity is available, sending overload to vendors as necessary 
  • Assist in maintenance and review of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories 
  • Oversee disposition of obsolete inventory 
  • Administer a cycle count program for your areas of responsibility 
  • Collaborate effectively and flexibly with co-workers across the company showing a willingness to go the extra mile with both effort and time

  • MRP/ERP knowledge required  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
  • Mechanical aptitude

Bonus  

  • BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering 
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering supply chain activities 
  • Industry Certification (APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent)
