We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our clinical team in Norfolk, VA. This is an onsite position providing evaluation and therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, and/or adult clients, depending on your specialization and interest. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities in a caring and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide one-on-one or small group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians.
- Educate and support family members and caregivers with home exercises and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards.
- Attend team meetings, in-services, and professional development sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Virginia state license (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, CFY candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Candidate Will Be:
- Located within or near Norfolk, VA (must be able to reliably commute to 2200 Colonial Ave.)
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and results-driven.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using EMR systems.
