We’re hiring an AI Product Designer to shape Obvious. You’ll own the core product experience, lead our design community, and drive growth—This role blends exceptional visual craft, deep product thinking, and reasoning from first principles about what emerging design patterns are best for humans and agents. Your work will help hundreds of millions of people do the best work of their lives.
We’re building an AI‑native workspace—an operating system for work that puts co‑intelligence at the center. Start with data or an idea, describe your goal, and Obvious goes to work: running analysis, searching the web, writing documents, generating tables, designing presentations, visualizing data, building dashboards, and more.
As Steve Jobs imagined the personal computer as a bicycle for the mind, Obvious imagines AI as a garden for the mind. Less mechanical acceleration. More organic cultivation.
What if, instead of just vibe coding, you could vibe‑work? What if getting from idea to done wasn’t so opaque, stubborn, and high‑latency?
What if there was a way to consistently deliver work that feels like it came from the best version of you on your best day?
That’s Obvious.
As an AI Product Designer, you’ll craft the core Obvious experience while also acting as the face of our design community—part product designer, part influencer, part community builder, part growth hacker.
Design the core Obvious experience—from first wireframes to pixel‑perfect interfaces that millions will use.
Obsess over detail—partner across the team to refine performance, interactions, and craft.
Build our design community—use your social presence to share insights, grow the brand, and attract top creators.
Drive growth—design landing pages, marketing assets, and conversion funnels; do what it takes to move the needle. Our brand team is super keen to jam on ideas for how to best showcase your work!
Ship code—ideally you’re comfortable with coding agents and using tools like Cursor and v0. If not, we’ll get you there fast.
Wear all the hats—own problems end‑to‑end, including the ones we haven’t thought of yet.
You’re ridiculously good at design—5+ years of experience with a portfolio that stops the scroll.
You love building design community—through content, events, and being genuinely helpful to other designers.
You get growth—you understand conversion design, A/B testing, and how to move metrics, not just craft.
You thrive in chaos—startups are messy; you see opportunity.
You want to own this—you don’t wait for permission; you see what’s needed and do it.
You have an insatiable appetite to win—you’re driven to help the world advance and give everything you have to that cause.
This isn’t just another startup job. We’re not building another AI tool—we’re building a future where anyone can create momentum with any idea. You’ll work with a founding team that cares deeply about design and knows it’s not a nice‑to‑have; it’s everything. And you’ll help create tools that empower hundreds of millions of people to do the best work of their lives.
