Staff Software Engineer - Ads
Skills
- 6+ years building customer-facing software applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, and React.
- Familiarity with SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in unit testing, preferably with TDD or BDD.
- API design and development experience.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud services.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Aurora, or other RDBMS; NoSQL is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and self-starting skills.
- Passion for maintainable, well-tested code.
Responsibilities
- Extend the underlying framework and APIs for the ads creator ecosystem.
- Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces for event creators.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to implement reliable solutions.
- Solve technical challenges and own impactful full-stack features.
- Guide junior engineers and influence engineering leadership within the ads and creator teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations for service maintenance and issue resolution.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
