Job Description

As a Bioprocess Associate – Cell Culture, you will support upstream bioprocessing activities focused on cell culture operations for biotherapeutic production. This role involves hands-on work in a controlled laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and contributing to the success of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cell culture operations, including aseptic technique and bioreactor setup.
  • Execute cleaning, steam-in-place (SIP), and autoclaving of equipment.
  • Conduct basic analytical testing and data acquisition.
  • Monitor and replenish lab reagents and solutions.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instrumentation.
  • Document all work accurately for GMP compliance.
  • Follow SOPs with attention to detail and organizational precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and leadership in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 2–5 years of experience, Associate’s degree with 1–3 years, or Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years in a relevant field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures in a controlled environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical or industrial cell culture/fermentation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, and maintain accurate records.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

What to Expect in the Hiring Process: 

  • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 30 Minute Virtual Interview with Site Director 

Additional Details: 

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Andover, MA, are encouraged to apply.
