Position Purpose
We are a 3-doctor practice, and are very excited about the addition of another veterinarian to our team! We're so excited, that we're offering up to $25,000 in Sign On Bonuses!
Whether you're an experienced doctor or just starting your career, our practice will encourage you to pursue your passions in veterinary medicine! Our updated building is outfitted with all the equipment you'll need for high-quality medicine; 4 exam rooms, inhouse labs and a large surgery suite will welcome doctors. We encourage work with our local animal shelter and if mentorship is on your list, we're glad to share our knowledge and provide strong mentorship to all!

About the area: Established in the 1820s, Dyersburg was a steamboat town with economic growth coming down the North Forked Deer River from the Mississippi River. Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
