Skills
- Extensive macOS development experience with System Extensions and NetworkExtension frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of DNS protocols and networking (TCP/IP, DoH, DoT).
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C; familiarity with Go, C, or C++ preferred.
- Experience with macOS tooling (Xcode, Instruments, lldb) and packet analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark).
- Practical experience with code signing, entitlements, provisioning profiles, and notarization.
- Familiarity with MDM solutions (Jamf, Mosyle) and enterprise deployment best practices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain macOS System Extensions and companion apps using NetworkExtension frameworks (NEDNSProxyProvider, NEFilter*).
- Intercept, filter, and route DNS traffic (DoH/DoT/TCP/UDP) to DNSFilter services securely and reliably.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and security teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and deliver production-ready features.
- Perform system-level debugging, profiling, and diagnostics using Instruments, lldb, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment processes for macOS clients.
- Manage code signing, entitlements, provisioning, notarization, and enterprise deployment workflows (MDM).
- Contribute to technical design discussions, documentation, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfort with ongoing learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration in a security-focused environment.
