Job Purpose
We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Developer to support its Local Government Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development and support of Java-based applications, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, software debugging, testing, and implementation planning. This role will also support modernization initiatives by researching and implementing new technologies.
- Design, code, test, modify, install, and debug software applications that integrate with Java-based systems and related applications
- Research and analyze system problems individually or in a team, create solutions, and develop program documentation
- Communicate technical and business information to stakeholders and end users
- Translate business requirements into development tasks and deliver secure, maintainable code
- Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to support modernization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems Management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development with expertise in:
- Java, JavaScript, J2SE, J2EE
- Struts and Spring frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, debugging, and testing practices
- Ability to analyze business requirements and develop effective technical solutions
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
