Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive chairside hygiene care including 1-hour recall appointments
- Assess and document oral health, including periodontal disease screening and oral cancer checks
- Take and review x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning
- Maintain detailed patient medical histories and clinical charting
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing and other hygiene procedures per dentist treatment plans
- Provide homecare instruction and preventive education to patients
- Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and follow safety protocols
Education
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license required
- CPR (BLS) certification required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene preferred/typical
