Deliverability Consultant
Skills
- 2–4 years of email deliverability experience, preferably at a B2B SaaS company, ESP, or marketing automation platform
- Deep knowledge of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) and SMTP/MTAs
- Experience with deliverability monitoring tools (Everest, Postmaster Tools, SNDS, MXToolbox)
- Strong analytical ability to interpret bounces, engagement metrics, and blocklist data
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify technical topics
- Customer-facing consulting experience and collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide reactive and proactive deliverability consulting and reputation management for customers
- Conduct deliverability audits covering authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), DNS, and infrastructure
- Monitor sender reputation using tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, and Validity Everest
- Diagnose and remediate issues such as blocklisting, spam traps, and engagement declines
- Advise on IP warming, sending infrastructure, and inbox placement strategies for high-volume senders
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface systemic deliverability trends and influence roadmap
- Create educational content (articles, webinars, internal guides) to share best practices
- Partner with Customer Success to develop long-term deliverability plans for key accounts
- Stay current on regulations and standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, Gmail/Yahoo requirements, TLS-RPT)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Certifications or formal training in email deliverability or related networking topics are a plus
