Territory Manager, Southeast

Counterpart is an insurtech platform combining advanced AI and deep insurance expertise to manage professional and management liability for modern workplaces. We are seeking an experienced Territory Manager to lead the Southeast, own the territory P&L, build and coach a team of Risk Engineers, and drive broker relationships and underwriting performance to meet budget goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own territory P&L and set new business, renewal revenue, and loss ratio targets
  • Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies and campaigns
  • Use data analytics to identify growth opportunities and optimize territory performance
  • Set underwriting strategy and provide underwriting support to achieve budget
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and mentor Risk Engineers and underwriting staff
  • Manage escalations and provide authority guidelines across production and renewal teams
  • Develop and deepen partnerships with retail and wholesale brokers to drive new business and renewals
  • Provide accurate production tracking, forecasting, and actionable reporting to leadership
  • Champion technology and process improvements to increase operational efficiency
  • Represent territory needs in cross-functional collaboration with product and underwriting teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPCU) are a plus
