Responsibilities
- Provide direct counseling services to children, parents, siblings, and families using developmentally appropriate approaches
- Apply evidence‑based therapies (e.g., CBT, narrative therapy, play therapy, solution‑focused) tailored to client needs
- Participate in family care meetings and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and clinical communication consistent with legal, ethical, and company standards
- Adhere to clinic policies, state/federal laws, licensing board requirements, confidentiality, and mandated reporting
- Support wrap‑around care by actively engaging other providers and sharing clinical information and recommendations
- Follow HIPAA requirements to safeguard patient information
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as needed for clinical duties
Education
- Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field
- Current and unrestricted California clinical license (LPCC or equivalent) required
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children or families with developmental differences
