Medical Director Position Needed for Inpatient Role in Stuart, FL

Coral Shores Behavioral Health, located in the picturesque Stuart, Florida, is actively seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist as Clinical Medical Director for the facility. Inpatient daily caseload is required.  We are a comprehensive mental health and addiction service provider, catering to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our confidential and compassionate approach ensures personalized care, focusing on the unique needs and the severity of each patient’s condition. We specialize in a wide range of behavioral and mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and addiction, especially targeting children and adolescents between 5 to 17 years old through our 24-hour Inpatient Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality psychiatric care to our Child/Adolescent patient base.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient management.
• Availability for shared weeknight and weekend call duties.
• Flexibility to attend to adult populations occasionally, as per operational needs.

• The Medical Director position is a highly visible and active role combining both administrative and clinical duties in its scope of responsibilities. Some of the duties include:

   

  • Supervision to other physicians and clinical staff

   

  • Program development
  • Medical Staff and Executive Team committee and meeting participation
  • Quality improvement initiatives, risk management  and service utilization management
  • Direct patient care activities include initial evaluations; assessments; treatment team leadership and daily/weekly care of patients under assignment; participation in and coordination of call schedule.

Requirements:

• Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry preferred. 
• Prior Medical Director experience required. 
• Licensure: Active Florida license or eligibility to acquire one.
• Flexibility: Willingness to treat ages child, adolescent and adult populations is required.
